Emilia Clarke was the mother of fashions at Paris fashion week

10.02.2015by: Droz

There's such a startling difference between the real and fictional versions of Emilia Clarke, seen here showing off her adorably petite and leggy self at Paris Fashion Week. It's not just because of her GoT blonde wig either. Her characters seem to be the austere types, not especially fond of jovial expression. That's entirely unlike Emilia, who does very little else but smile. Her whole face changes with she lets out one of those squinty grins of hers. No matter though. I'll take her however I can get her.

You may have heard about them putting an indefinite kibosh on any further TERMINATOR movies after GENISYS took a nose dive at the US box office. I'm not sure what to say about that. Despite all the blustering people were spewing against this movie, I didn't dislike it. Sure, it has nothing on the first two movies, but that's to be expected from anything looking to expand this universe. I enjoyed it way more than SALVATION and more than the first 2/3rds of T3 (I'll argue that T3 had the second best final act in the history of the franchise). And Emilia wasn't bad in the role of Sarah Connor. Granted, she wasn't as good as Linda Hamilton in T2, that's for sure. But she wasn't grossly out of place in the role. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the thing. That said, the utter lack of fan faith in TERMINATOR projects would seem to make any further movie or TV show a losing proposition. You gotta get those core fans on board to get the positive word of mouth going. After so many perceived slights, I can't see them acquiescing to another TERMINATOR project ever again.

I fear we're just gonna have to rely on GoT and red carpet things like the one below for our Emilia fixes in the foreseeable future. I think I can live with that.
